Lanlay began with herbal formulas made by hand, and the method has stayed close to that start ever since. Some things were right from the beginning. We have just kept making them, one batch at a time, for people across Canada.
It started with lanolin, not a brand.
In 1936, in Australia, someone noticed that wool workers whose hands were constantly coated in raw lanolin oil had skin that healed faster than anyone else's. That observation became a formula, carried forward until it reached Jack Lu, who inherited not a company but a responsibility: formulas that worked, and a belief they deserved to keep working.
In 2002, Jack brought that legacy to Canada, continuing it under the name Lanlay. With no advertising budget and no shelf space, only a product he trusted completely, he went door to door, pharmacy to pharmacy, explaining what was in the jar and why. Lanlay's reputation was not bought. It was earned one conversation at a time.
That was over twenty years ago. Jack is still here, and so is that belief. In 2026, he and the Lanlay team are finally bringing that same work online, so formulas once introduced one doorstep at a time are now within reach of anyone in Canada. The method has not changed. Only the door has.
